This 8,626 m2 facility design to enhance the overall safety and
efficiency to serve the current and future airport operations. The
facility comprises a new 7 bay fire hall, maintenance bays, an
indoor parking garage, a materials storage building with vehicle
wash bays and a fueling complex. The project will also serve
as a central hub of operations and a staging area for all airside
maintenance activities.

Designed to YVR’s sustainability requirements, the facility
includes several notable sustainable features such as rainwater
harvesting, LEED lighting, solar collectors and PV array, as well
as geothermal heating. Manny, while with Francl Architecture, led
the Francl team as project architect through to building permit
application. Vince Knudsen was also a valuable team member
assisting with architectural production documentation.
